Washington

The first time I ever saw a Panda was at the Tiergarten Schönbrunn in Vienna, Austria...
...he was passed out upside down.

The next time was at the Toronto Zoo...
...he was passed out on a rock.

In Washington we visited the Smithsonian zoo and saw the Panda...
...who was passed out over a rock.

Wow, Panda's are lazy.

Pictures from Washington are now up in the galleries

Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory

Sometimes I don't have to travel to actually put the camera to use.
Last week we checked out the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory, since we were already up that way to buy honey from our favourite local dealer.
Its smaller than Niagara but the butterflies were quite diverse, pretty, and healthy looking.
Pics have been added to the butterflies gallery

PS - Washington pics still to come.

Drumheller

Drumheller is home to the Royal Tyrrell Museum and to the World's Largest Dinosaur.
We visited both and had a great time.
The museum was amazing and had an overwhelming abundance of dinosaur fossils and displays.
The World's Largest Dinosaur was large.

Pictures from Drumheller are now up in the galleries
And with that I have completed the Alberta trip and added its gallery to the travel page.

Up next: Washington.
